SS7 (International Termination)

TynTec has direct access to SS7 connectivity through partnerships with mobile network operators Manx Telecom (Isle of Man, UK), Digicel (Jamaica), Alands Mobiltelefon (Finland) and CTM Macau (China), working as a full SMS operator within these mobile networks.

SS7 (Signaling System 7) is the mobile world’s equivalent of Internet Protocol (IP). SS7 is the protocol used by mobile network operators to enable traffic around the global mobile network infrastructure. Up to now SS7 has been accessed only of mobile network operators: because TynTec has strategic partnerships with mobile operators Manx Telecom, Digicel, Alands Mobiltelefon and CTM Macau to access SS7, TynTec is able to route messages directly by using international termination. By using TynTec’s messaging services customers can enjoy the highest quality in SMS.

Multiple Access Points

TynTec is the only SMS provider in the world with multiple access points into SS7. Customers take advantage of the following benefits by working with a SS7-based messaging provider:

Resilience: with different entry points into SS7, messages can be re-routed in the case of failure of one connection.

Cost: with many routes available through different network operators, TynTec is able to route SMS by using the most economic route to a particular operator.

Coverage: each network operator partner in TynTec’s portfolio has roaming agreements with a different selection of operators globally. This means customers can take advantage of a true global coverage for SMS sending.

Multiple Operator Partners

With multiple sets of operator relationships, the lowest cost route to a particular operator can be chosen. Each network operator partner in TynTec’s portfolio has roaming agreements with a different selection of operators globally. TynTec provides one standard interface with one level of service for all destinations.

GSM Standards

With both a European and a US network operator partner the main GSM standards (ETSI and ANSI) are covered, meaning that TynTec can send messages in the standard of the destination network, avoiding errors or delays in the conversion of messages.
