TynTec upgrades primary datacenter
New facility ensures utmost safety and security for TynTec customers

June 12th, 2007 – London, UK: TynTec is proud to announce the upgrade and extension of their primary datacenter in Dortmund, Germany. The new facility, which will handle TynTec’s operations from today onwards, was custom-built to ensure the mobile messaging services provider can continue to offer the highest standards of security and reliability to their expanding customer-base.

The purpose-built site will be exclusively used by TynTec and features a co-located backup facility connected to the new main datacentre with two 10Gb fibres. This resource can immediately be used in as a disaster recovery solution in the event of an outage to ensure continuity to TynTec’s mobile messaging offering.

The newly built facility is finished to the highest possible specifications and the entire site is ECB-S compliant, the best available certification for a datacentre. These technological improvements allow TynTec to grow by more than 50% each year for the next five years.

Thorsten Trapp, CTO of TynTec, said, “The brand-new datacentre is an indicator of the success of the business to date. The fact that we have had to open a dedicated resource to ensure we continue to scale to meet the needs of our growing customer-case is a true testament to the hard work of everyone here.

“Providing mobile messaging services for major multinational companies such as Accenture and BA and major telecommunications companies such as 02 and Skype, means our infrastructure needs to be as secure and reliable as possible. By opening this datacentre we can ensure that the TynTec offering continues to grow alongside demand, as well as providing a solid disaster recovery solution.”
