TynTec provides mobile operators with Specialized SMS-C Managed Services to increase capacity on SMS sending and receiving, to outsource large accounts management, to enable SMS reception on long numbers or to activate OTA (Over-the-Air) capabilities. The Specialized SMS-C service provides a tailored SMS-C hardware and software operated by TynTec within the mobile operator’s network.

By outsourcing traffic to TynTec, mobile operators gain with a tailored solution to upgrade overall SMS capacity, and at the same time avoiding CAPEX and reducing OPEX, while paying for the services on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Increase SMS Capability Without Expanding Infrastructure

TynTec’s Specialized SMS-C increases SMS capacity for the operator and can handle P2P (person-to-person) from the main SMS-C. Mobile Operators offload the SMS traffic to TynTec’s SMS-C, gaining in extra capacity, routing quality and speed, also postponing or avoiding the expansion of SMS infrastructure.

Full Management of Large Account Customers

The service provides functions to fully outsource the management of large account customers of the mobile operator. It also allows the outsourcing of technical connectivity to large account customers for the mobile operator only.

Number Range Hosting

Number Range Hosting is a managed service that enables the 2-way exchange of SMS messages between GSM and CDMA networks, as well as networks of other technologies such as TDMA, iDEN, pager, satellite and fixed-line networks.

Non-GSM networks connect to TynTec via IP/SMPP for SMS sending into nearly 400 networks worldwide. SMS reception is enabled by the implementation of the number range of the non-GSM network into the GSM switch of TynTec's partner Manx Telecom. The number range is implemented in all networks of Manx Telecom's roaming partners (GSM networks) via the standardized IR21.

Additionally, Number Range Hosting enables any number range for reception of SMS messages, and furthermore can comprise a managed service to receive all types of inbound communication, e.g. Voice, MMS, IM, Videocall, etc.

Long Numbers Capability

TynTec provides a Long Numbers capability to mobile operators through an SMS Reception Unit, which is connected to the mobile operators’ SS7 network. The SMS Reception Unit holds its own Long Numbers of the Mobile Operator. Using this high throughput SMS Reception Unit the mobile operator can offer two-way applications across several networks on the basis of its own long numbers.

OTA (Over-the-Air) Activation

The Managed SMS-C provides fully-fledged OTA capabilities, offering high speed configuration transmission to mobile phones to perform quick updates and/or reprogramming.
